Team Member is Selected for World Championships in Underwater Hockey

We are delighted to announce that one of our own -  Angela Adams - has been selected to take part in in the World Championships for Underwater Hockey 2016, which take place in South Africa later this month.

Angela was selected following several months of trials and will be the Vice Captain of the Ladies Masters team, one of four Great Britain teams competing

Angela is no stranger to the watery world of underwater hockey, with 25 years of bruising experience resulting in two previous World Championships – 1994 achieving a bronze whilst playing for the Elite team and2006 achieving a silver whilst playing for the Masters team.  In addition, Angela has notched up four European Championships –achieving silver in 1993, gold in 1995 and bronze in 1997 2000.

However, she has stiff sporting competition within her family with a daughter who won a bronze for javelin at international level, a son who at 14 became the youngest player in the Underwater Hockey World Championships in 2015 and a husband who also has many years’ experience in the world of underwater Hockey.

And on top of all this Angela works fulltime as a Relationship Manager for Physio Med. Well done to her!!
